I stole these pictures

Yep, I stole these photos from Gon's blog.

Which reminds me of how her camera cheated my feelings. Her camera got face detection some more leh! Why all the pictures come out become so blur one huh? =.=

I love cooking....

Not just because I love good food, but I love cooking, all the more so when I get to watch my loved ones enjoy the food I make for them.

Toda--- YESTERDAY was Jing Chuan's birthday and we planned a vegetarian picnic at East Coast Park, so I made salsa + sour cream dip. Okay, so I didn't technically cook this, but I whipped it up myself okay, and I also repeated my usual habit of changing recipes to my own liking :D

First - original recipe says make chips to go with it, but I got mini toasts instead. Yi Xian loves this. Buy it from Carrefour!

Fresh, fresh ingredients. The tomatoes totally seduced me and convinced me to buy them when I was at the hypermart.

Supposed to be sour cream mixed with garlic and chives, but Xian doesn't eat garlic so I replaced it with shallot and herbs CREAM CHEESE. Plus lemon juice. Yummy!

And very fresh tomatoes with some seasoning and a few stalks of coriander leaves just to add in the green color (Most of us hate coriander >_>) JC loved this. The tomatoes I mean, not the coriander leaves.

Actually, I should have been really pissed that my bidding got screwed up. But because I was enjoying my girls' company so much I was only mildly annoyed at the mentioning of the whole matter. Hee hee friendship works wonders doesn't it? Normally I would have felt tired from being out for a mere few hours, but today I was oddly refreshed (which explains why I'm still blogging when it's nearing 3am now).

First picture taken of the day was of me. I was named "the Proud Chef" by JC hahahaha. Hey, I still feel proud of the food I prepared, okay :D (And the stupid breeze messed my hair up, grrr)

Xian brought vegetarian bacon, ham and egg mayo sandwiches. Si Xian came along and they also got seaweed shaker fries from McDonalds. Oh and I must mention this. Xian BURNT the eggs while hard-boiling them. Now, that's really a tough nut to crack. How can that be possible in the first place? The question remains unsolved. LOL XIAN YOU BEST LA, BREAK BEKAH'S RECORD ALREADY! (Bekah's gonna be gloating when she sees this)

Nonetheless, we enjoyed the "smoky-flavoured" egg sandwiches as well as the other food, hahahaha.

We thought there were people flying the kites, but all they did was tie the kites to a tree and let the wind carry them up. CHEATER BUGSSSSSS

Food food food! Yum yum :D (We also had chips and LOTS of fruits but not captured in the picture)

One of the two presents we got for burfthey gerl: Darling Toothpaste toilet roll holder. Hahahahaha damn interesting. Got full fluoride protection some more okay!

Another kite, I think this one was being flown by someone for real. Dang I'm still jealous. Should have made my own huge kite man :D

And Si Xian was talking to her bu--- okay her very popular friend. Poor thing leh, she didn't really start joining in our chatting until later on...

But I MUST mention this, once she gets started on the talking she wouldn't stop LOL. And she was so passionate while talking about her DBSK and Super Junior she sounded like she was about to set up her very own Speaker's Corner right there and then. And her legs always conveniently felt tired so she kept standing up on the benches to deliver her speeches. LOLLLL damn comical. Omg she's going to hate me to bits after seeing this hahahahahah. CUTE LA!

We were lucky to get a full moon! ^_^ Unfortunately the camera is unable to capture a better picture of the moon...

And yes I know my flash was irritating the hell out of everyone...

But the flash did give us some fun. Si Xian tried all she could but she failed to keep her eyes open for almost every single one of the pictures we captured with the flash on.

The baby is 6 months old!

Time really does fly. It still seemed like yesterday when I first saw the baby and look how big she is now. Jeez, I feel old. =.=

I went over for a birthday dinner on Saturday and this was what I saw. Haha. I really think my uncle is very zai. Multi-tasker *thumbs up*

Dropped by again on Sunday after Japanese class, in time to see our little princess shower. *perverted giggling*

Randomites (Mostly Food)

This is actually being posted on 8 Aug along with the other posts, but I'm putting everything on separate dates so that the post titles don't get gobbled up by blogger. =x

Very overdue pictures, but never late than never right! :D

First, what we've been splurging on after Japanese classes on Sundays...

After our second lesson (which was the third Sunday of July) we went back to White Tangerine Cafe. Really nice orange-ness. Hope Mac convinces my boss to bring him here one day. :D

And then, three weeks ago, we went for the Suki Sushi Buffet at Hougang Plaza. I must say that their buffet improved a LOT! They even have some teppanyaki stuff now (not as nice as Hunky Tori or other Yakitori from outside though).

And more food -- My boss brought me to this place for lunch one day (normally she buys lunch back for her maid and I). Western Chow's the name and the shop front design was really the exact kind of thing I would go for. Retro colours, artistic swirls and twirls, and the food was not shabby too, just limited in variety. They serve Hainanese style Western food, which is interesting cos most places don't even bother about all these kinds of stuff.

The only thing I eat there would be Chicken Chop with Brown Sauce:

And Jennifer ordered the same thing with black pepper sauce. Oh, it's also pretty cool that you can choose any two sides out of a list of 4-5. Best of all, it's located at a coffee shop so it stands out even more. Anyone interested can go take a look at their website here.

Cough, really a lot of food in this post hor? Haha. Eat already must drink right?

Tada~ Hazelnutella milkshake from TCC! Had this on errrrr I think it was last Saturday when I went out with Jing Chuan. Which reminds me, I finally, FINALLY got to play Jubeat again on that day~ And JC and I finally completed the beginner round for Daytona. LOL YES I KNOW WE ARE NOOBS LA!
